Round 9 took the XCR series to Kevin Bartlett Reserve at Burnley for a level, three-lap 15km road race along the Yarra, with a 4km junior event opening the morning.

Race report
Saskia Lloyd led the women home in third place overall, clocking 53:41. Mia Roux was next in sixth (55:09), followed by Orla Shackcloth in 15th (57:01). Meg Oakley Kerr, Andrea De Jong and Stella Crawford-Rust completed the Sandringham line-up that delivered the Premier Division win.
For the men, Callen Goldsmith’s 46:38 earned 10th overall. Tom Davoren (18th, 47:44) and James Heneghan (19th, 48:03) followed closely, with a deep group through Maxy Letten, Lachie Moorhouse, William Garbelotto, Hamish Donohue and Paul Azad supporting the second-place Premier Division finish.
In the 4km, Finn Polkinghorne placed 13th in the Under 16 boys’ race in 16:15.
