Across ten rounds of road, cross country and relays, the club’s depth, consistency and collective effort put both open squads in position to win. Today’s final round confirmed the result: Sandy holds both top-tier Victorian XCR premierships for 2026.

The achievement belongs to every athlete who pulled on the green singlet this season, from the early-season races through to the final relay leg around the Tan. It is also a credit to the coaches, volunteers, supporters and teammates who made the campaign possible.

A season to remember

Congratulations to the entire Sandy squad. What a way to finish XCR 2026.

Help shape running in Bayside

Mike Bryant is asking Sandy members and runners across Bayside what they want from their local club. The Bayside Running Survey 2026 takes 3–4 minutes and will help shape future coached sessions, social runs and club services. Participants can also enter the draw for one of three Sandringham Sports Physio massage vouchers.
