Sandy have taken the maximum 11 in every individual round and lost ground only on the Round 5 road relays, where the men were second and took 9. The gap to Western Athletics is now 17 points, with Bendigo Region a further five back.

Female Premier Division: two points in it
The women have been just as consistent, with four round wins and never scoring fewer than eight points in a round. But Box Hill have stayed with them all season and sit two points back. Round 7 at Lakeside went Box Hill's way, 11 to 9, and closed the gap. Three rounds will decide it.

Every one of those teams needed athletes to turn up and finish, in weather that has not always been kind. The junior and masters ladders are where the club's depth shows, and there is room on most of them to climb before the season is out.
